1. Authorised Use

1.1 Eligible Users

  • These assets are exclusively for use by councils officially participating in the Big Bag Recovery program.
  • Access is restricted to authorised council employees and designated contractors.

1.2 Permitted Uses

  • Assets may be used to promote the Big Bag Recovery program through council-owned channels, including websites, social media platforms, and printed materials.
  • Usage is limited to non-commercial, program-related promotional activities.

2. Asset Usage Guidelines

2.1 Branding Integrity

  • Do not alter, crop, or modify the assets in any way that distorts the Big Bag Recovery brand or message.
  • Maintain the original colours, fonts, and proportions of all assets.
  • Councils may add their official council logo to the assets, subject to the following conditions:
    • The council logo must be placed in a non-intrusive location.
    • The council logo must not exceed 20% of the total asset size
    • The Big Bag Recovery logo must remain prominently and clearly visible
    • The relative sizing and positioning of logos must not diminish the visual impact of the Big Bag Recovery branding
    • The council logo placement must not interfere with the readability of text or key visual elements
    • The council logo must be of high resolution and professionally designed
    • The logo placement must maintain the overall aesthetic and design integrity of the original asset

2.2 Context

  • Use assets only in contexts that positively represent the Big Bag Recovery program and its objectives.
  • Avoid using assets in any way that could be perceived as endorsing products or services not related to the program.

2.3 Social Media Best Practices

  • When using social media tiles, adhere to the recommended image sizes and formats for each platform.

3. Legal Considerations

3.1 Copyright

  • All assets remain the intellectual property of Big Bag Recovery.
  • Councils are granted a non-exclusive, revocable license to use these assets for the specified purposes.

3.2 Liability

  • Councils are responsible for ensuring that their use of the assets complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Big Bag Recovery is not liable for any misuse of the assets by participating councils.

3.3 Third-Party Rights

  • Do not use the assets in a manner that infringes upon the rights of any third party.

4. Content Accuracy

4.1 Information Updates

  • Regularly check the Asset Library for updated materials and information.
  • Ensure that all published content reflects the most current program details and statistics.

4.2 Fact-Checking

  • Verify all facts and figures before publishing content derived from the Asset Library.
  • Report any discrepancies or outdated information to Big Bag Recovery immediately.

5. Accessibility and Inclusion

5.1 Accessibility Standards

  • When using assets in digital formats, ensure they meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.
  • Provide alternative text for images when used on websites or in social media posts.

5.2 Inclusive Representation

  • Use assets that represent diverse communities when applicable.
  • Avoid content that could be perceived as discriminatory or exclusive.

6. Reporting and Feedback

6.1 Usage Reporting

  • Councils are encouraged to report on the performance and reach of asset-based campaigns to Big Bag Recovery.

6.2 Feedback Mechanism

  • Provide feedback on the Asset Library to help improve its effectiveness and usability.

7. Termination of Use

7.1 Program Withdrawal

  • In the event a council withdraws from the Big Bag Recovery program, all rights to use the assets cease immediately.
  • Remove all Big Bag Recovery assets from all council-owned platforms and materials within 30 days of program withdrawal.

7.2 Misuse of Assets

  • Big Bag Recovery reserves the right to revoke asset usage rights if these terms are violated.
